Meet Calicia

Hiiiii—WELCOME ᵕ̈

I am an electrical engineer by trade, a creative at heart, and currently navigating the most transformative role I’ve ever taken on: becoming a mom.
I grew up learning how to be strong early—how to adapt, take care of others, and keep moving forward no matter what. That childhood resilience shaped the way I show up in every space I’m in. Whether I’m solving problems in a technical environment or building something new from scratch, I bring focus, flexibility, and a whole lot of heart. Now, I’m learning how to carry all of that into this next chapter—with more grace, and a baby on the way.

Continued..

This next chapter, I’m leaning into storytelling and creativity, blending the logic of engineering with the heart of motherhood and community. My husband and I host a podcast about life’s messy, beautiful moments, and I’m exploring ways to bring those stories to a wider audience through social media and creative work.

This journey from the known (engineering, structure) to the unknown (motherhood, creativity) excites me. I want my portfolio to reflect that blend—where technical precision meets personal growth, and where sharing my story helps others feel less alone in their own transitions. Faith keeps me grounded. People keep me inspired. And I’m building this portfolio to capture the realness of who I am and who I’m becoming.

This is me

🎓 2019
Graduated high school early and hit the ground running in Las Cruces, NM. Walked on to the NMSU track team and had no idea I’d end up running toward a much bigger life than I imagined.

2020 💪
Still sprinting — through school, track, and figuring things out. Declared Computer Science as my major, joined the SSTEM association, and spent the summer in Maryland working with the Army on radar systems. Oh, and did it all during a pandemic. 💪🏽

❤️ 2021
Said goodbye to track and hello to tunnel vision — I shifted focus fully to school and work. That fall, I met this charming guy named Carter who had just started med school... and let’s just say the story got even better from there. I spent the summer working in cybersecurity with the Army, and he trained with them, too. Military couple energy unlocked.

2022 💼
The “real talk” year. Navigating med school life (as a partner, not the student!), figuring out what I wanted before graduation, and somewhere in the chaos — landed a job at Northrop Grumman as an Electrical Engineer in LA after a life-changing conference in California.

🎤 2023
Moved to LA. Started modeling. Full-time engineer by day, creative dreamer by night. Big transitions for Carter meant even more growth for us. And quietly... the seed for our podcast & content journey was planted.

2024 💍
This year was a whirlwind: got engaged, planned a wedding in 6 months, applied to USC’s Master’s program (and got in!), and moved to Roswell, NM for Carter’s rural medical rotation. Oh — and I went fully remote while starting grad school. Deep breaths? Not really. Just vibes.

🍼 2025
Found out we’re growing our family 🍼, and finally launched the podcast that had been on our hearts for years. While hopping cities every month — from Roswell to Augusta, Lake Havasu, Indio, San Antonio, Fort Hood — we kept creating, dreaming, and preparing for the biggest move yet: becoming parents.
